A recent survey in Money magazine (July 2009) states that the way $200k -plus earners are finding jobs now is through networking. A whopping 73% of people find networking significantly more advantageous to their job search than any other endeavor. Just take a look at the statistics, which don’t even come close:

* 1% send out their resumes en masse
* 3% target specific companies
* 9% maintain an online profile on social media sites such as Linked In
* 14% are looking for jobs online
* 73% are NETWORKING!

As stated in Money magazine, “It pays to know someone: Referrals are by far the best route to a high-paying job.”
